Where can I get information about placement testing for English and/or Math?

Placement Testing is used for placing students into English and Math classes. It is not required if the student already has SAT or ACT scores, or other English and/or Math courses from another NSHE institution.

  • Placement Tests are held:
    • Fall 2019
      • Last date for Placement Testing is Wednesday, August 28th.
    • Spring 2020
      • Offered once a week alternating on Mondays and Wednesdays.
        • Schedule your test date here.
        • Mondays are 2:00pm
        • Wednesdays are 9:00am
      • First Placement date starts Oct. 14th
      • Last date for Placement Testing is Wednesday, January 22nd. 

Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the appointment. Doors lock at start of the exam. Late arrivals will need to reschedule for the next testing date.

Students are required to bring a Photo ID. Calculators are not allowed. NSC will provide scratch paper and pencils. Testing will take approximately 3 hours.

Testing will be held in the Raker Student Success Center. Please check in at:
