I don’t meet the pre-reqs, how can I add the class?

Students cannot enroll in a course if they do not meet the pre-requisite(s). Any exceptions will need approval from the department offering the course.

Non-degree seeking students

If you have taken the pre-requisite(s) at another institution.

  • Fill out a Pre-requisite/Co-requisite e-form and attach an unofficial transcript showing the completion of the pre-requisite(s). The form can be found in the NSC Portal (my.nsc.edu) or on the forms page of the NSC website.
  • Pre-requisite(s) taken outside of NSHE may require additional documentation such as a course description or syllabus for review.

Transfer Students

  • Students whose transfer courses are transferred as electives (e.g. ENG LDELEC, TRCRLDELEC) will not automatically satisfy as pre-requisite for a NSC course. Student will need approval from the department offering the course in order to enroll in the desired course.
  • Fill out a Pre-requisite/Co-requisite form and attach required documentation. The form can be found in the NSC Portal (my.nsc.edu) or on the forms page of the NSC website.
  • Pre-requisite(s) taken outside of NSHE may require additional documentation such as a course description or syllabus for review
